Angelika Schöttler is a German politician who has held the office of District Mayor of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district of Berlin since 2011. She is the daughter of the SPD politician Alfred Gleitze. Her political career started in 2000 where was a member of the Schöneberg district council. From 2002 to 2011 she was the Town Councillor for family, youth and sports.
As mayor of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district she is responsible for various roles including finance, human resources and business development. Schöttler is also a member of the Berlin Social Democratic Party of Germany and won re-election for the position of mayor in 2016.
